WREC Polar Plunge 2024

Problem:

Create a sticker design to promote the Polar Plunge at the WREC. Engage students to swim for 1 mile in the colder months of the semester.
Include “WREC Polar Plunge”

Sketch:

I wanted to include either a tube or an icy watering hole for the polar bear to sit in. I thought about doing Willy the Wildcat, but I felt that a polar bear was more appropriate due to the name of the event being “Polar Plunge”. I also decided to include a shirt, so the bear wasn’t naked…

This looks good. The only thing I am noticing is that the "G" in plunge is looking like an '8.' Can we modify the text so the text is clearer?

Solution:

The final design consisted of a polar bear chilling in the water. The polar bear was chosen as a play on with “Polar Plunge”. For students who do compete in Polar Plunge, many students swam 1 mile and received this sticker as a prize!
